Tennessee Arms Company is proud to bring to the market our newly designed TAC-9 style lower receiver.

The TAC-9 receiver is the newest member of the Tennessee Arms family of receiver. Using our fiber reinforced polymer and metal inserts we have delivered the lightest and best designed Glock Magazine compatible lower receiver on the market today. This receiver comes with our proprietary ambidextrous magazine release already installed. The rest of the lower receiver parts are standard AR design.  These parts are in stock and ready to ship.

Manufactured from a fiber-reinforced Nylon blend with extreme resiliency. Using our patent-pending technology, Marine-Grade Brass inserts are permanently molded into the receivers at the Grip Screw & Buffer Area. These metal threaded inserts increase durability without sacrificing weight savings of the composite bodies. The ejector is permanently embedded in the material. Colors are injected throughout the receiver during molding thus eliminating the worry for a scratched or marred finish. The end result is a sturdy receiver that is light to carry without compromising functionality.

TN ARMS CO Products come with a lifetime guarantee. We stand behind our products 100%. We believe the finest way to show this is through impeccable customer service which includes a warranty that stands firm. We invented the hybrid lower receiver, and we work continuously to keep it second-to-none.

Federal law requires that you be 21 years or age or older to purchase a stripped receiver or frame. Even if a frame or receiver can only be made into a long gun (rifle or shotgun), it is still a frame or receiver not a handgun or long gun. However, they still are "firearms" by definition, and subject to the same GCA limitations as any other firearms.

    Great for the price

Its light weight and pretty beefy, only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5 is you have to bend the ejection arm strait otherwise it will not eject brass, super easy fix, took 30 sec, and feeds and fires great, highly recommend.

    Tac-9 lower

Posted by Ricky Gratton on 11th Dec 2020

So far I've got about 250 rounds through my tac-9 lower with no problems, mags lock in perfect, ejector works flawless, and my trybe 9mm bcg has no problems feeding or ejecting spent round.
Would recommend to anyone looking for a lightweight polymer lower!

Does exactly what I wanted it to do!

I purchased this to build a 9mm pistol to have as a truck gun and I couldn't be happier. Pulled it out of the box and had all the internal parts put in in under 15 minutes. Only problem I ran across was the ejector needed a little bend to one side because the gun would jam after the second or third bullet but that's a quick and easy fix. Highly recommend, would purchase again!

    Tac9 lower receiver

Posted by Carroll Towns on 31st Oct 2020

Overall, I'm pleased with this lower. The only issue that I had was with the installation of the trigger group. I used a Hyperfire EDC trigger, and it wouldn't fit without grinding off the front corner of the aluminum block which has the serial number of the receiver on it. When I contacted Tennessee Arms about this, they asked if I was using one of the drop in triggers. I haven't measured the Hyperfire to see if it's wider than milspec, but that may be the issue. Regardless, once I removed a small amount of material from the block, the trigger fit correctly, and has given no problems. If I decide to build another pistol caliber AR, I will probably use a Tennessee Arms lower again.
