"I honestly can't find any sort of practical test that would harm this receiver or make it in any way inferior to an aluminum one."- Tom @ Apex Gunsmithing Experpt from a Third Party Review at http://www.apexgunsmithing.com/poly-receivers-testing-part-2/
Federal law requires that you be 21 years or age or older to purchase a stripped receiver or frame. If a frame or receiver can only be made into a long gun (rifle or shotgun), it is still a frame or receiver not a handgun or long gun. However, they still are "firearms" by definition, and subject to the same GCA limitations as any other firearms. It was a perfect fit and it's multi caliber so I can slap any upper on it and I'm good to g
Purchased rhe AR 15 lower assembly and it took a awhile to receive but a very high quality lower. Very light, great color match to upper, and functional in all aspects, and magazines release and install easily. I will purchase from again, but do expect a waiting time to receive.
EXCELLENT ERVICE AND GREAT PRODUCT
I mated this lower to a Bear Creek Arsenal 7.62x39 upper. Very comfortable, shoots great. The lighter weight makes it much easier on handling. Thank you folks so much for such a fine product.
It took about 230 rounds to loosen up. The hammer would get stuck and I'd have to keep resetting the safety fire a shit and repeat about 15 times until it loosened up to run full semi-auto. Need more range time but great so far.
Fit and function are spot on.. very light and great build quality. Only issue was a burr in the bolt catch-release not catching the bolt carrier after an empty magazine. Cleaned it up a bit with some sand paper and boom.. back in business.
The buttons to snap upper and lower receiver get stuck often other than that it’s perfect never doubted it for a second but when I received it I noticed smaller details the stock was a little wiggly but you can always modify it anyway that’s why I gave a 4 instead of 5 work on molding it then snap on a upper to make sure it’s going to push out and back in without having to force it with a tool
I really want to like lower. It arrived with the castle nut not completely tight so I tightened it the best I could without the proper tool. When I took it to the range it proved unreliable as the buffer tube had not been threaded in far enough and the buffer retainer and spring had ejected themselves before the first magazine was empty and the castle nut backed out allowing enough room for the take down pin spring to get bent. After an email and a phone call and a couple of months after the replacements were returned to Tennessee for no apparent reason, I finally got the replacement springs in this week. In the mean time the second lower I ordered ( a pistol lower this time) had the same issue with the buffer tube not being screwed in far enough and launching the retaining pin and spring after the first 7 rounds fired. I haven't been able to reach them by phone to resolve the issue with the second lower. I know they are busy with demand being at an all time high, but two out of two had issues that slipped by the quality check/ quality control booth before being shipped. And service after the sale has been an exercise in patience. I have not had the opportunity to get back to the range to retest the first lower since the new springs arrived
